2 Meʻa Hokohoko 8

1At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of the LORD and his own house,
1PEA naʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ngataʻanga ʻoe taʻu ʻe uofulu ʻaia naʻe langa ai ʻe Solomone ʻae fale ʻo Sihova, pea mo hono fale ʻoʻona,
2Solomon rebuilt the cities that Hiram had given to him, and settled the people of Israel in them.
2Naʻe langa ʻe Solomone ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻaia naʻe toe ʻomi ʻe Helami kia Solomone, pea naʻa ne fakakakai ia ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli.
3And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah and took it.
3Pea naʻe ʻalu ʻa Solomone ki Hamatisopa, mo ne ikuna ia.
4He built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the store cities that he built in Hamath.
4Pea naʻa ne langa ʻa Tatimoa ʻi he toafa, pea mo e ngaahi kolo tukunga meʻa, ʻaia naʻa ne langa ʻi Hamati.
5He also built Upper Beth-horon and Lower Beth-horon, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars,
5Naʻa ne langa foki ʻa Pete-holoni ki ʻolunga, mo Pete-Holoni ki lalo, ko e ongo kolo tau, naʻe ai hono ngaahi ʻā, mo e ngaahi matapā, mo e ngaahi songo:
6and Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had and all the cities for his chariots and the cities for his horsemen, and whatever Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
6Mo Pealati, pea mo e ngaahi kolo tukunga meʻa ʻaia naʻe ʻia Solomone, pea mo e ngaahi kolo naʻe ʻi ai ʻae ngaahi saliote, mo e ngaahi kolo naʻe nofo ai ʻae kau heka hoosi, pea mo ia kotoa naʻe fie langa ʻe Solomone ʻi Selūsalema, pea ʻi Lepanoni, pea ʻi he potu kotoa ʻa hono puleʻanga.
7All the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel,
7Pea ʻilonga ʻae kakai kotoa naʻe kei toe ʻoe kakai Heti, mo e kakai ʻAmoli, mo e kakai Pelesi, mo e kakai Hevi, mo e kakai Sepusi, ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻikai ʻo ʻIsileli,
8from their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the people of Israel had not destroyed—these Solomon drafted as forced labor, and so they are to this day.
8Ko ʻenau fānau, ʻaia naʻe tupu ki mui ʻiate kinautolu ʻi he fonua, ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻikai fakaʻauha ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ko kinautolu ia naʻe puleʻi ʻe Solomone ke fai ʻae tukuhau ʻo aʻu mai ki he ʻaho ni.
9But of the people of Israel Solomon made no slaves for his work; they were soldiers, and his officers, the commanders of his chariots, and his horsemen.
9Ka naʻe ʻikai ngaohi ʻe Solomone ha taha ʻi he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ke tamaioʻeiki ke fai ʻene ngāue: ka ko e kau tangata ki he tau, mo e houʻeiki ʻo ʻene kau matāpule, mo e kau pule ki heʻene ngaahi saliote mo ʻene kakai heka hoosi.
10And these were the chief officers of King Solomon, 250, who exercised authority over the people.
10Pea ko kinautolu ni naʻe ʻeiki hake ʻi he kau matāpule ʻo Solomone ko e tuʻi, ʻio, ʻae toko uangeau ma nimangofulu, naʻe fai ʻae pule ki he kakai.
11Solomon brought Pharaoh’s daughter up from the city of David to the house that he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not live in the house of David king of Israel, for the places to which the ark of the LORD has come are holy.”
11Pea naʻe ʻohake ʻe Solomone ʻae ʻofefine ʻo Felo mei he Kolo ʻo Tevita ki he fale naʻa ne langa moʻona: he naʻa ne pehē, “ʻE ʻikai nofo ʻa hoku ʻunoho ʻi he fale ʻo Tevita ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ʻoku tapu ʻae ngaahi potu kuo hoko ki ai ʻae puha ʻoe fuakava ʻa Sihova.”
12Then Solomon offered up burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of the LORD that he had built before the vestibule,
12Pea naʻe toki ʻatu ʻe Solomone ʻae ngaahi feilaulau tutu kia Sihova ʻi he feilaulauʻanga ʻo Sihova, ʻaia naʻa ne fokotuʻu ʻi he ʻao ʻoe hūʻanga fale fakamalumalu,
13as the duty of each day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the three annual feasts—the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Booths.
13‌ʻo hangē ko e lau naʻe fai ki he ʻaho taki taha, ko e feilaulau ʻo hangē ko e fekau ʻa Mōsese, ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho tapu, pea ʻi he ngaahi māhina foʻou, pea ʻi he ngaahi kātoanga molumalu, ke liunga tolu ʻi he taʻu ʻi he kātoanga ʻoe taʻefakalēvani, pea ʻi he kātoanga ʻoe ngaahi uike, pea ʻi he kātoanga ʻoe ngaahi fale fehikitaki.
14According to the ruling of David his father, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their offices of praise and ministry before the priests as the duty of each day required, and the gatekeepers in their divisions at each gate, for so David the man of God had commanded.
14Pea hangē ko e fekau ʻa ʻene tamai ko Tevita, naʻa ne tuʻutuʻuni ʻae ngaahi lakanga ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki ki heʻenau ngāue, mo e kau Livai ki heʻenau ngāue ʻanautolu, ke hiva mo tauhi ʻi he ʻao ʻoe kau taulaʻeiki, ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe totonu ke fai ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē: ko e kau leʻo matapā foki ʻi honau ngaahi lakanga ki he matapā kotoa pē: he naʻe pehē ʻae fekau ʻa Tevita ko e tangata ʻae ʻOtua.
15And they did not turn aside from what the king had commanded the priests and Levites concerning any matter and concerning the treasuries.
15Pea naʻe ʻikai fai kehe ʻakinautolu mo e fekau ʻae tuʻi ki he kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai ʻi ha meʻa ʻe taha, pe ʻi he meʻa ki he ngaahi koloa.
16Thus was accomplished all the work of Solomon from the day the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was completed.
16He naʻe fai ʻae tokonaki ki he ngāue ʻa Solomone ki he ʻaho naʻe ʻai ʻae tuʻunga ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, ʻo fai ʻo aʻu ki hono fakaʻosi. Pea naʻe fakaʻosi lelei ʻae fale ʻo Sihova.
17Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and Eloth on the shore of the sea, in the land of Edom.
17Pea naʻe toki ʻalu ʻa Solomone ki Esioni kepa, pea mo ʻEloti, ʻi he matātahi ʻoe fonua ʻo ʻItomi.
18And Hiram sent to him by the hand of his servants ships and servants familiar with the sea, and they went to Ophir together with the servants of Solomon and brought from there 450 talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon.
18Pea naʻe ʻatu ʻe Helami ʻae ngaahi vaka kiate ia ʻi heʻene kau tamaioʻeiki, mo e kau tamaioʻeiki naʻe poto ʻi he folau: pea naʻa nau ʻalu fakataha mo e kau tamaioʻeiki ʻa Solomone ki Ofeli, pea naʻa nau ʻave mei ai ʻae koula ko e taleniti ʻe fāngeau mo e nimangofulu, mo nau ʻomi ia ki he tuʻi ko Solomone.
