2 Kolinitō 6

1Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

1Ko ia ko kimautolu, ko e kaunga ngāue fakataha, ʻoku mau fakakolekole foki ke ʻoua naʻa mou maʻu tōnoa ʻae ʻofa ʻae ʻOtua.

2For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

2(He ʻoku pehē ʻe ia, “Kuo u ongoʻi koe ʻi he kuonga tuʻutuʻumālie, pea ʻi he ʻaho fakamoʻui kuo u tokoniʻi koe:” vakai, ko eni ʻae kuonga tuʻutuʻumālie: vakai, ko eni ʻae ʻaho ʻoe fakamoʻui.)

3We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,

3Ke ʻoua naʻa ai ha tūkiaʻanga ʻi ha meʻa ʻe taha, koeʻuhi ke ʻoua naʻa fakaongokovi ʻae ngāue:

4but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities,

4Ka mau fakaongolelei atu ʻakimautolu ʻi he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē, ʻo taau mo e kau faifekau ʻae ʻOtua, ʻi he faʻa kātaki, ʻi he ngaahi mamahi, ʻi he ngaahi masiva, ʻi he ngaahi fakamamahi lahi,

5beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger;

5‌ʻI he haha, ʻi he nofo fale fakapōpula, ʻi he maveuveu, ʻi he ngaahi ngāue mamafa, ʻi he faʻa leʻo, ʻi he faʻa ʻaukai;

6by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love;

6‌ʻI he māʻoniʻoni, ʻi he ʻilo, ʻi he kātaki fuoloa, ʻi he angaʻofa, ʻi he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni, ʻi he ʻofa taʻeloi,

7by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left;

7‌ʻI he lea ʻoe moʻoni, ʻi he mālohi ʻae ʻOtua, ʻi he mahafutau ʻoe māʻoniʻoni ʻi he nima toʻomataʻu pea ʻi he toʻohema,

8through honor and dishonor, through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true;

8‌ʻI he fakaʻapaʻapa mo e taʻefakaʻapaʻapa, ʻi he ongokovi mo e ongolelei: ʻo hangē ko e kau kākā, ka ʻoku moʻoni;

9as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed;

9Hangē ko e taʻeʻilo, ka ʻoku ʻilo lahi; hangē ko e mate, pea ʻiloange, ʻoku tau moʻui; hangē ko e tautea, ka ʻoku ʻikai tāmateʻi;

10as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.

10Hangē ko e loto mamahi, kamau fiefia maʻuaipē; hangē ko e masiva, ka ʻoku mau fakakoloaʻia ʻae tokolahi; hangē ko e taʻemaʻu-ha-meʻa, ka ʻoku maʻu ʻae meʻa kotoa pē.

11We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians; our heart is wide open.

11‌ʻAe kakai Kolinitō, ʻoku matoʻo homau ngutu kiate kimoutolu, ʻoku tupu ʻo lahi homau loto.

12You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your own affections.

12‌ʻOku ʻikai te mou ʻefihia ʻiate kimautolu, ka ʻoku mou ʻefihia ʻi he ʻofa ʻamoutolu pe.

13In return (I speak as to children) widen your hearts also.

13Pea ko eni, ko hono totongi ʻi he meʻa ni, (ʻoku ou lea ʻo hangē ki heʻeku fānau) ke fakaʻataʻatā ʻakimoutolu foki.

14Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

14‌ʻOua naʻa mou kau fakataha mo e kakai taʻetui: he ʻoku feohi fēfē ʻae māʻoniʻoni mo e taʻemāʻoniʻoni? Pea ʻoku feohi fēfē ʻae maama mo e poʻuli?

15What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?

15Pea ʻoku kau taha fēfē ʻa Kalaisi mo Pileali? Pea ʻoku ʻinasi taha ʻi he hā ʻaia ʻoku tui mo e taʻetui?

16What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

16Pea ʻoku fai tatau ʻi he hā ʻae fale tapu ʻoe ʻOtua mo e ngaahi tamapua? He ko e fale tapu ʻakimoutolu ʻoe ʻOtua moʻui; ʻo hangē ko e folofola ʻae ʻOtua, “Te u nofoʻia ʻakinautolu, ʻo ʻeveʻeva ʻiate kinautolu; pea ko honau ʻOtua au, pea ko hoku kakai ʻakinautolu.”

17Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,

17‌ʻOku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki, “Ko ia mou haʻu meiate kinautolu, pea ke ʻataʻatā ʻakimoutolu, pea ʻoua naʻa ala ki he taʻemaʻa; pea te u maʻu ʻakimoutolu:”

18and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

18‌ʻOku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki Māfimafi, “Te u ʻiate kimoutolu ko e Tamai, pea ko hoku ngaahi foha mo e ngaahi ʻofefine ʻakimoutolu.”
