Saame 4

1Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!
1‌ʻO KAU ka kole, fanongo mai kiate au, ʻE ʻOtua ʻo ʻeku māʻoniʻoni: naʻa ke halahalaʻi au mei he mamahi; ke ke ʻaloʻofa mai kiate au, pea fanongo ki heʻeku lotu.
2O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame? How long will you love vain words and seek after lies?Selah
2‌ʻAe ngaahi foha ʻoe tangata, ʻe ngata ʻafē hoʻomou liliu hoku nāunau ko e meʻa fakamā? ʻe ngata ʻafē hoʻomou ʻofa ki he meʻa vaʻinga pe, ʻo kumi ki he loi? Sila.
3But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him.
3Ka mou ʻilo kuo vaheʻi ʻe Sihova maʻana ʻaia ʻoku angalelei: ʻe fanongo ʻe Sihova ʻo kau ka kole kiate ia.
4Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent.Selah
4Mou manavahē, pea ʻoua naʻa fai angahala: fakakaukau mo homou loto ʻi homou mohenga, pea mou fakalongo pe. Sila.
5Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the LORD.
5Feilaulau ʻaki ʻae ngaahi feilaulau māʻoniʻoni, pea mou falala kia Sihova.
6There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O LORD!”
6‌ʻOku pehē ʻe he tokolahi, “Ko hai te ne fakahā ha lelei kiate kitautolu?” ʻE Sihova, ke ke hiki hake kiate kimautolu ʻae maama ʻo ho fofonga.
7You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.
7Kuo ke ʻai ki hoku loto ʻae fiefia lahi hake ʻi he fiefia ʻi he kuonga naʻe tupu ʻo lahi ai ʻenau uite mo e uaine.
8In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
8Te u tokoto hifo ʻi he fiemālie, ʻo mohe: he ko koe pē, ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ke pule ke u nofo lelei.
