Saame 69
1Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.
1ʻE ʻOTUA, ke ke fakamoʻui au; he kuo hū ki loto ʻae ngaahi vai ki hoku laumālie.
2I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me.
2ʻOku ou ngalo hifo ʻi he pela loloto, ʻaia ʻoku ʻikai ha potu ke tuʻu ai: kuo u hoko ki he vai loloto, pea ʻoku lōmakiʻi au ʻe he vai lahi.
3I am weary with my crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God.
3Kuo u vaivai ʻi heʻeku tangi: kuo mōmoa hoku kia: ʻoku fakaʻaʻau ʻo ʻosi hoku mata ʻi heʻeku tatali ki hoku ʻOtua.
4More in number than the hairs of my head are those who hate me without cause; mighty are those who would destroy me, those who attack me with lies. What I did not steal must I now restore?
4Ko kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate au taʻehanoʻuhinga ʻoku nau tokolahi hake ʻi he tuʻoni louʻulu ʻo hoku ʻulu: ko kinautolu ʻoku loto ke fakaʻauha au, ʻaia ko hoku ngaahi fili taʻetotonu, ʻoku nau mālohi; pea ne u toki ʻange ʻaia naʻe ʻikai te u ʻave.
5O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.
5ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoku ke ʻiloʻi ʻeku vale; pea ʻoku ʻikai lilo ʻiate koe ʻeku ngaahi angahala.
6Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, O Lord GOD of hosts; let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.
6ʻE ʻEiki Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ʻoua naʻa tuku ke mā ʻakinautolu ʻoku tatali kiate koe koeʻuhi ko au: ʻE ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻoua naʻa puputuʻu ʻakinautolu ʻoku kumi kiate koe koeʻuhi ko au.
7For it is for your sake that I have borne reproach, that dishonor has covered my face.
7He ko e meʻa ʻiate koe kuo u kātaki ai ʻae lauʻikovi; kuo ʻufiʻufi ʻaki hoku mata ʻae mā.
8I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s sons.
8Kuo u hoko ko e muli ki hoku ngaahi kāinga, mo e ʻāuhe ki he fānau ʻa ʻeku faʻē.
9For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
9He kuo u ʻosiʻosiloto ʻi he fai feinga ki ho fale; pea ko e ngaahi manuki ʻanautolu naʻe manukiʻi koe kuo tō kiate au.
10When I wept and humbled my soul with fasting, it became my reproach.
10ʻI heʻeku tangi, ʻo tautea hoku laumālie ʻaki ʻae ʻaukai, naʻe manukiʻi ai au.
11When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
11Naʻaku kofuʻaki ʻae tauangaʻa; pea ne u hoko ko honau lumaʻanga.
12I am the talk of those who sit in the gate, and the drunkards make songs about me.
12ʻOku lauʻikoviʻi au ʻekinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he matapā; pea ʻoku hiva ʻaki au ʻe he kau konā ʻi he kava.
13But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness.
13Ka ko au, ʻE Sihova, ʻe aʻu atu kiate koe ʻeku lotu ʻi he ʻaho tuʻumālie: ʻE ʻOtua, ke ke fanongo kiate au ʻi hono lahi fau ʻo hoʻo ʻaloʻofa, ʻi hono moʻoni ʻo hoʻo fakamoʻui.
14Deliver me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters.
14Fakamoʻui au mei he pela, pea ʻoua naʻa tuku au ke u ngalo hifo: tuku ke fakamoʻui au meiate kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate au, pea mei he ngaahi vai loloto.
15Let not the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me.
15ʻOua naʻa tuku ke lōmakiʻi au ʻe he vai lahi, pea ʻoua naʻa folo hifo au ʻe he loloto, pea ʻoua naʻa tāpuni ʻe he luo hono ngutu kiate au.
16Answer me, O LORD, for your steadfast love is good; according to your abundant mercy, turn to me.
17Hide not your face from your servant; for I am in distress; make haste to answer me.
18Draw near to my soul, redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies!
18Ke ke ʻunuʻunu mai ke ofi ki hoku laumālie, pea huhuʻi ia: fakamoʻui au koeʻuhi ko hoku ngaahi fili.
19You know my reproach, and my shame and my dishonor; my foes are all known to you.
19Kuo ke ʻiloʻi hoku lauʻikovi, mo ʻeku mā, mo hoku manukia: ʻoku ʻi ho ʻao ʻa hoku ngaahi fili kotoa pē.
20Reproaches have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.
20Kuo fesiʻi hoku loto ʻe he lauʻikovi pea kuo u fonu ʻi he mamahi: pea naʻaku kumi ki ha niʻihi ke ʻofa mai, ka naʻe ʻikai ha tokotaha; mo e kau fakafiemālie, tā naʻe ʻikai te u ʻilo ha taha.
21They gave me poison for food, and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink.
21Naʻa nau foaki foki kiate au ʻae ʻahu ko ʻeku meʻakai; pea ʻi heʻeku fieinu naʻa nau tuku mai ʻae vaimahi ke u inu.
22Let their own table before them become a snare; and when they are at peace, let it become a trap.
23Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see, and make their loins tremble continually.
23Ke fakapoʻuli honau mata, ke ʻoua naʻa nau mamata; pea ke tetetete maʻuaipē honau kongaloto.
24Pour out your indignation upon them, and let your burning anger overtake them.
24Te ke lilingi ho houhau kiate kinautolu, pea puke ʻakinautolu ʻe ho houhau vela.
25May their camp be a desolation; let no one dwell in their tents.
25Tuku ke lala honau nofoʻanga; ke ʻoua naʻa nofo ha tokotaha ʻi honau fale fehikitaki.
26For they persecute him whom you have struck down, and they recount the pain of those you have wounded.
26He ʻoku nau fakatangaʻi ia ʻaia kuo ke taaʻi; pea ʻoku nau talanoa fakamamahi kiate kinautolu kuo ke tautea.
27Add to them punishment upon punishment; may they have no acquittal from you.
27Fakalahi ʻaki ʻae nunuʻa ʻoe hia ki heʻenau hia: pea ke ʻoua naʻa nau hoko ki hoʻo māʻoniʻoni.
28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; let them not be enrolled among the righteous.
28Tuku ke tāmateʻi mei he tohi ʻoe moʻui, pea ʻoua naʻa tohi fakataha ʻakinautolu mo e kau māʻoniʻoni.
29But I am afflicted and in pain; let your salvation, O God, set me on high!
30I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31This will please the LORD more than an ox or a bull with horns and hoofs.
31Pea ʻe fiemālie lahi hake ai ʻa Sihova ʻi he meʻa ni, ʻi he pulu tangata pe ko e pulu ʻoku ai hono nifo mo e ngeʻesi vaʻe.
32When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive.
32ʻE mamata ki he meʻa ni ʻae angavaivai, pea fiefia ai: pea ʻe moʻui homou loto ʻaia ʻoku kumi ki he ʻOtua.
33For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.
33He ʻoku ongoʻi ʻe Sihova ʻae masiva, pea ʻoku ʻikai te ne manukiʻi ʻene kau pōpula.
34Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them.
34Tuku ke fakamālō kiate ia ʻae langi mo māmani, ʻae ngaahi tahi, mo e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku ngaue ʻi ai.
35For God will save Zion and build up the cities of Judah, and people shall dwell there and possess it;
35Koeʻuhi ʻe fakamoʻui ʻe he ʻOtua ʻa Saione, pea langa ʻae ngaahi kolo ʻo Siuta: koeʻuhi ke nau nofo ʻi ai, ʻo maʻu ia ko honau tofiʻa.
36the offspring of his servants shall inherit it, and those who love his name shall dwell in it.
